Page #1 - Camp Pals - https://www.facebook.com/palsprograms/
Camp Pals does not seem to have any other social media platforms other than Facebook page. This does not allow for as many people to be touched by what exactly they strive to do. Although they only have a facebook page, they do many things well on it. For one, they post videos of your child and their friends from every day of the week that they have a camp in session, this keeps the family updates and pulls new customers in. The next thing they do well is advertise their fundraisers, there are a lot of them and there is a nice tab dedicated to fundraisers. The last thing I noticed that was well done on this facebook page is showing how well rounded the camp days are, the campers do something new every day. While camp pals has great things on their facebook page, they also have a few things they could work on. The first thing I noticed is that their facebook page does not include a link to sign a child up for camp or to sign up to be a camp counselor, if they had this it might get more people involved. The next thing I saw that the facebook page can improve on is elaborating on their about page. The last thing I found they could do better on is organization of the facebook page, if they could work on they layout it might be easier to understand what is going on.
Pgae #2 - Special Olympics - https://www.facebook.com/SpecialOlympics/
The Special Olympics has a great cross platform social media strategy, they have updated posts on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. This allows more people to see what it is they do. On the facebook page, the Special Olympics provides information about their endorsement activities, the most recent one featuring Guy Fieri. Another thing they do is show people who have participated and enjoyed special olympic ceremonies. The last thing I noticed they do well is stress how important inclusion in for people with intellectual disabilities. Some things they Facebook page does not do well are explaining how to get your child or yourself signed up to be apart of the special olympics near you. Another thing I noticed they can improve on is they have a link to their twitter on the page, but no link to their instagram, it is important to keep all social media platforms easily accessible. The last thing I noticed that could be worked on is keeping their reviews positive, there are some negative reviews that the organization should have acted on that bring their facebook page down.
Page #3 - Best Buddies - https://www.facebook.com/bestbuddies/
Best Buddies has a good presence on Facebook and Instagram. However, they are not active on twitter. The first thing I saw on their page that was good is that their fundraisers are right at the top of the page. The next thing I noticed is that the page is nicely organized and easy to read. The last thing I noticed that was good on the page was they share things related to their topic, like special olympics posts, which helps grow the knowledge of inclusion amongst organizations. Some things I noticed that were not great include the fact that they do not have links to their other social media platforms. Another thing I noticed is in the events area it is hard to figure out how to get involved. The last thing I noticed they could improve on is they do not explain how to get involved in a chapter near you which is important for growing the organization.
